Micro Book Review: The Good House by Tananarive Due
This book redefined how I think about horror. From the way a hometown atmosphere is made to feel chilling, to once-safe characters being twisted and hunted by an unknown evil, to the ultimate fight between love, family, and power, this story had me yelling for all my friends to read it immediately! I was in awe from page one, lost in the captivating prose and swept up in a story that did better than leave me guessing—the real horror comes from the inevitable way the evil sweeps through the people and places it touches. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this book since I read it, truly it’s a masterclass in how to meld interior vs. exterior horror. I have to read it again.
